About Bikerpapa
biography and foolosophi
Bikerpapa is an oxymoron himself. How can you ride a motorcycle (i.e. biker) and still be a good papa? Easy. Just add a sidecar so one kid can sit in it, and the other can sit behind. (Good thing he has two kids and not one more.) But that’s just hypothetic talk now, because Bikerpapa has sold his motorcycle and he now rides only his foldable bicycle: still a biker, but of a slower kind.
Which brings us to…the ultimate oxymoron that Bikerpapa believes in: life is short, so one must take time to enjoy life. What that translates to:
- live a slow life: doesn’t matter where you live actually; more of a state of mind;
- Travel;
- Tools: buy and use things of good design; durability is important too but design comes first.
- Food: eat slowly, savor the taste, digest well.
- Friends: don’t lose the good ones; keep in contact at least once a year!
blogging history
Many years ago he started blogging, first with Radio Userland but found its limitations severe (i.e. no Asian language support, no multiple authors support). He then switched to Movable Type; loved the product but the MT spam problem forced him to look for a better alternative in 2006. Now he is trying out WordPress.com. This site serves as an outlet for all things he considers good and slow.
